Sinead McGuinness is a screen printer & graphic designer with 20+ years of design experience.

Sinead works under the name MC&RO. Sinead’s company, established in 2023, evolved from worldwide experiences, embracing different cultures for a colourful and creative brand. Originating from Co. Wicklow, Sinead finds inspiration everywhere – in nature, people and animals, and hones in on form, shape and symmetry.

Urban Jungle – Framed:

When Sinead’s children were young, they lived in Dublin city with just a tiny garden. Their haven became the National Botanic Gardens in Glasnevin, where they spent countless hours surrounded by lush plants, majestic trees, and tranquil ponds. Parenting small children was often challenging and lonely, but these gardens offered a serene escape. Crossing the Samuel Beckett Bridge—an icon of modern engineering—felt like a passage from the bustling city into their own “urban jungle.” The misty, atmospheric glasshouses, especially the magnificent Great Palm House, revived Sinead’s spirit with their calm beauty, bringing light and peace to those early years.

This print, Urban Jungle, was recently exhibited (Dec ’24-Jan ’25) alongside 40 other printmakers work (plus a framed piece by Roddy Doyle) at the Graphic Studio Gallery in Dublin. Urban Jungle also featured in The Irish Times on December 1st, 2024.
