Ernest Armchair

A long-time Pieces.ie favourite, the Ernest Armchair is a beautifully crafted statement chair with unmistakable mid-century modern character. Taking inspiration from the iconic furniture of Pierre Jeanneret, Ernest combines strong architectural lines with generous upholstery to create a chair that feels distinctive, timeless and exceptionally inviting.

The strong angular teak-stained wooden frame is a standout feature, with splayed legs and sculptural supports giving the chair its characteristic mid-century profile. Deep upholstered arms, a supportive back and a generously proportioned seat soften the structured timber frame and create a comfortable place to settle in.

With a lower 39cm seat height and deep seat, Ernest has the relaxed proportions of a lounge chair while its substantial upholstered arms provide additional comfort and support. Available in any of our leathers or fabrics, its combination of warm timber and textured fabric makes it particularly easy to introduce into contemporary, Japandi and mid-century inspired interiors.
